I didn’tplan it that way, it just sort of hap-pened. I guess what surprises methe most is the quality of snap kitsthese days. When I was younger (along time ago), snap kits were verysimple, almost “toy” like in theirappearance.Todays snap kits are gorgeous. Inthis issue I build the Polarlights ‘64Pontiac GTO kit (pictured to theright), when I first opened the boxand looked through the parts trees,I kept thinking, “this can’t be a snapkit?”. The detail in this kit is great. Iknow there isn’t a 100+ parts in thekit, but that’s the beauty of it, theredoesn’t need to be that many partsto build a nice replica! With somedetail painting, and some carefulplanning, you can make it look likea more detailed kit.I guess as we get older and buildmore and more kits, you beginto think that snap kits are just forkids.
